Jennifer Medford, Education Director at West TN PBS will teach children the importance of voting and some of the reasons why citizens don’t make it to the polls on Election Day. This event will include a story, video presentation, discussion, and a craft activity. The lesson will empower children to “make a voting plan with their parents” to reduce the barriers that prevent them from voting. There will also be a special guest in attendance!
Sponsored by West Tennessee PBS, this children’s activity supports the visit of the Smithsonian traveling exhibit, Voices and Votes, at the Martin Public Library, October 7-November 18.
