Microsoft Powerpoint Class

This is the Summer of Tech here at the C. E. Weldon Public Library. We will be offering several classes to help our patrons better understand and use the computers. As a part of this initiative we will be offering classes on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. For those interested in e-books I will have a class on mondays and assist with any devices you bring in. On fridays I will host a technology related AMA(ask me anything). During this time I will offer one on one help and advice on all things technology related.

This particular class will focus on the fundamentals of using Microsoft Powerpoint 2010. We will go over concepts such as:

  • Understanding the interface
  • Formatting slides
  • Creating transitions
  • Inserting images
  • Creating notes
  • Presenting

The class does assume that you are comfortable using the mouse, keyboard, and other basic functions of windows. The class will last for 7-10 weeks depending on how much ground we cover each lesson. We will be using the Tennessee Learning Express Library during this course. If you miss a week you can make it up by watching the videos online but you will not have the benefit of having me at hand to answer questions. I hope to see you all there.
