The children’s section of the Martin Public Library is located on the main floor. It consists of a large selection of books, an Activity Center, Story Hour Room, Nursing Room, iPad Stations, Computers, and a Giant Lite-Brite!

The Children’s Library offers a fun and exciting environment for your child to learn and grow.

We offer many programs for all ages throughout the year. Those include 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, STEAM clubs, Preschool Story Hour, Toddler Time, and more. Information on these programs can be found here

The Summer Reading Program runs eight weeks, beginning the first week of June. Children who sign up for the reading program check out books and return them for prizes. Prizes consist of bags of toys or coupons to a business in the area. At the end of the program, medals and trophies are awarded for achieving certain point levels. Many special activities and programs are scheduled during the summer program.

The Story Hour room will not only host programs for younger children, but will also be the after school gaming site for those 12 and younger each day.

We believe our Children’s Library is a place where your children will feel comfortable and can learn to enjoy books. We hope you will find our library enjoyable and will visit often.
